WORKERS SOLIDARITY RALLY 2014 - INCONJUNCTION WITH LABOR DAY 1ST MAY

Labor Day is celebrted throughout the world on 1st May consistently every year, our Union too without break organise organise workers rally inconjunction with Labour Day on May 1st 2014, this labor day organised to give recognition to the comrades who died in the cause of securing an 8-hour work for the working class in the 18th century, labor Day is proclaimed in memory of our heros who fought against the oppresive laws to achieve a 8 hour work system. They dedicated their lives for the future of the working class so that the future working generation would have a proper working environment, their struggles are not in vain. We are indebted to them for securing and regulation a proper working system otherwise we would still be working twenty-fours a day. The most depressing part is that workers of the current generation have seriously failed to look into the history of the incident @ the Haymarket in Chicago, United States of America, where some 500,000 workers conducted a strike for want of an 8-hour job, but sadly our working people are ignorant of the fact that the 8-hour work they are enjoying today were achieved through the blood of certain labor activist who were send to the gallows for a crime which they did not commit. So, it is a wake-up call to the working class of this 21st generation to continue the struggle divised by our leaders for the future generation.
